Becoming a King

 Becoming a king

For 3 years I have been heavily wrestling with how a few of my dear friends could walk away from their faith. Friends who share the same excitement for life. Ones who are so passionate on their search of beauty goodness and truth

When I first heard of Morgan Snyder I was sitting in Godchaux Hall at Vanderbilt. Instead of applying myself to pharmacology, my classmate and I were discussing how disheartening it was to see how many of our peers fell away from their faith solely because

We are his sons and he desires to transform us and make us hold by his love

Our western Worldview cherishes this icon of the self-made man and we spend most of our energy building, protecting, and preserving our personal kingdoms. We begin to resent being under authority because our experiences have confirmed the message that being under authority Restricts our liberty yet the kingdom of God is fundamentally different from the fallen kingdoms of this world.

The kingdom of God prizes our willful consent to make His goodness, truth, and beauty the true authority for which we were made under. the care of God to be our ultimate refuge in the seat of His inexinguisheable strength. The power and provision of Jesus’s life flowed through Union with his father.

The ability for us to live a powerful life and become a whole hearted king in God‘s kingdom is directly proportional to the consent we give God to have active and supreme authority over our lives.

Giving ourselves fully over to his authority (and aligning our lives His kingdom authority) is where the soul of man thrives and all is made right.

The degree in which we live in consent to God (I’m our moment by moment lives) gives him the final say over what is good, what is beautiful and true is the degree in which we become the kind of man To whom he can entrust his kingdom. This willing alignment with the kingdom gives him access to break The limits on which we have placed on who He can be and what he can do and how he can do it in our lives.

Consent to Jesus authority enables us not just to survive The unknown but to flourish in it. It is only through submission that we receive the fortitude to endure the risk and the peril. A concentrated life is the one only a place that allows the culture and atmosphere of the world to be eclipsed by the culture.

From the security he could love freely and boldly without any concern over outcomes he was utterly yielded to the father. His strength was hardest yielded under the rule of God this humility allowed him to thrive as A as a king and InBody A gospel that liberated him from the limitations of his own will and from the tyranny of unmet desire. It was from this place that Jesus could rule from a heart of a servant

Jesus wholeheartedly consented to the father’s leadership over his life and it is from that place that the reign of his father flows into the lives of humans. the father‘s authority over all things is what Jesus knew. Intimate knowing is what he operated from. He knew he was a sudden, his identity was rooted in Sunship Jesus knew he was an apprentice and he had grown over decades in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man. He knew he was a warrior bearing the image of his father Who would prevail against evil. So he could serve from the lowest seat with a king heart. It was from this consent to authority that his power as a king flowed from strength and power and love. Where he voluntarily beard the way of human and. In the face of suffering he could say father not my will but your s be done.

What parts of you have been fully consecrated and given over to the care and connection of the King of kings

Heroic strength in conscious submission to a greater authority. This submission is the Rosetta Stone of the masculine soul.

The treasure of the kingdom is a Man who is fully yielded to His father to lead him.

A man who crucified self-sufficiency in exchange for a reliance on the Trinitarian God and fellowship that empowers him to act in a manner that conforms to the will of God. That submission is our source of power and life.

He is readying us for  an expanding kingdom he is he is entrusting us for the kingdom.

He knew that there would be few that live beyond their own gifting and become an apprentice of a good good father and in small and in steady ways is becoming ones that would carry out his purposes for the next generation and choose apprenticeship and will beyond own gifting And self-sufficiency, those who would risk everything to warranty to rely on the Unlimited resources having being made available today. The view who would come to know a love so deep wide and vast that even the most ruin ruined saw could be restored to the likeness of God himself utterly personal and utterly pursuing and building yes to building our character over building our own kingdoms. Yes to taking the lowest seat at the table yes to no shortcuts becoming students becoming warriors. Becoming Kings that God can trust with his kingdom and this few would be enough to carry his purposes through to the next generation One generation to the next so that the whole of human race until the restoration of all things Friends you can have your integrity back, no matter who you have become god your father knows who you are

Who am I?

If we are ever going to become the man he meant when he made us. We can’t live beyond our identity.

A name is a powerful thing.

The giving of the white stone with the new name is the communication of what God thinks about the man to the man The true name is one that expresses character, nature The being and the nature of a person who bears his image.  And who is it given to. The man who overcomes. From the time I entered the world we were named. Eugene Peterson parallels the giving of this name and a name you are receiving a parcel of heaven unique to you. And he stays with them until he has completed his work this new name is the manifestation of the journey from the fall self to the new self A man’s name is the souls picture of who and what he is intended to become. And the process of initiation is essential if he will ever become his new name

Who have you become to believe you are truly? we cannot live beyond the identity we have embraced. we are saints, we are kings we are holy faithful brothers. What identities have you lived out that aren’t who you truly are?

The enemy knows who you are and fears what you can do in his kingdom what you will become. The only one that underestimates yourself is you

What tactics to Saint use to get you down? My beauty my confidence my ability to take up space in the room.

“The locusts were given authority to torment them for five months, but not to kill them. Their painful torment is like the scorpion’s sting, and during that time people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die but death will elude them. Their hair was long, like women’s hair, and their teeth like lion’s teeth. They wore breastplates that seemed like iron, and their wings made a sound like the noise of horses and chariots rushing into battle. They had tails and stingers like scorpions, with power to injure people for five months.”

We each have a realm. It begins with our body and our soul. In forcing and consecrating the kingdom and the round gets larger and larger depending on what God is in choosing to interest in our care
