Lately

 O the beauty of having an emotionally intelligent 7year old. I so loves the way she sees others.

 Breck asked if there was anything I was ever sad about that I didn’t tell her about. 

Raleigh said today. What age were you when dad and you broke up?” 

I said, “one and a half”

She said - “but I barely even got to know him..“

She asks about the “breakup” all the time.

At the lunch table Raleigh told me the girl across the table from her asked about her mommy and daddy‘s break up. She needs a counselor guide me how to talk to her.

Her perception of what happened is that we broke up because he was mean to the girls? I told them the truth of what happened but their perception was that he is mean to them. 

Lord I pray that this man who I have been told is clinically unable to show empathy- let them see that their worth is not tied to him but YOU.
